A movietube is a small room where people can go to watch live theatrical performances. There are many types of movietubes, some being very small, others being very large. How big is too big a movietube? Well, that’s the question we’re left with as we continue on our journey into the unknown. What will a movietube be like in the future? Will it become the new Hibooz industry standard? Will there be other smaller theaters that compete with it? These are some of the questions floating around my mind at this moment and they are all valid concerns. So here we go… Wrong Side Of The Tracks The Wrong Side Of The Track (SSRT) Initiative is an initiative conceived, run and managed by three brothers–Mike, Jeff and Doug Eikeland—led by their brother Jeff Eikeland. It’s a pilot project designed to test whether movie theaters can better support local communities and attract more investment in community-based projects. Their goal was to see if movies could be used as an element of this solution after seeing how successful open air movies were at attracting private investors interested in creating their own movie project.
